PLCPD organizes multisectoral strategic advocacy and communications workshop for the info dissemination of RA 11596 or the Prohibition of Child Marriage Law
Members of the TWG on RA 11596 – DSWD, CWC, CHR, PCW, NCIP, NCMF, PLCPD, OXFAM, civil society organizations and #GirlDefenders joined hearts and minds to draft the advocomm plan to bridge the information gap on the PCM Law.
The advocomm workshop was supported by Oxfam and facilitated by Richard Dy. The consolidated plan will be piloted in a select community, presented to the national TWG and hopefully will feed into the Social and Behavioral Change Communication plan to be drafted by national government agencies.
If implemented meaningfully, the PCM Law will change the lives of Filipino children for the better by protecting them from the negative impacts of child marriage and providing them countless opportunities to realize their full potential.
