LGUs of Mayorga and MacArthur, Leyte commit to championing the “Anti-OSAEC Ordinance”
Mayorga, Leyte: PLCPD, with support from Plan Philippines and EU, and in partnership with LGU officials from Mayorga and Leyte, facilitated a writeshop on the Anti-Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children Ordinance (OSAEC) last 19 April 2024. 40 participants led by the Vice Mayors Hon. Jesus Baranda and Hon. Sergio Zabala of MacArthur and Mayorga, Leyte, together with their Council, actively provided their insights and local context on OSAEC. They committed to filing and passing the Anti-OSAEC Ordinance. The ordinance aims to localize RA 11930 (Anti-OSAEC Law) by providing context-specific programs and services.
